Darren Brown, founder, and general manager
Darren is the inspiration behind Micasamo Realty. As general manager, his role in the business revolves around overseeing day-to-day operations and making sure the business is performing according to its vision and goals.
No two days are the same for Darren. Some days he is implementing growth strategies and setting out business development plans. On other days, he could be out and about negotiating with developers, viewing properties, building relationships with relevant experts, meeting with clients or lawyers, or mentoring the team.
The important thing to learn about Darren is his unwavering determination to raise people's expectations of estate agents, or realtors, as they are known in Spain. At Micasamo Realty, it's never just about the sale. Darren fully understands that, for most people, purchasing a property abroad is a once-in-a-lifetime event. It's his belief, that with the right guidance it should be an exciting and pleasurable experience.
After working in the real estate sector for over two decades, in several different countries, Darren established Micasamo Realty in 2019. It was always his dream to own his own real estate company and to offer clients more than a good sale. Micasamo Realty, Darren says, pairs buyers with premium real estate and offers wrap-around professional services. "Our aim is to find our clients the location and property and protect our clients from all the things that could go wrong when buying a property abroad."
A true Yorkshireman, Darren is an open, friendly, honest, and straight-talking family man. His love of Spain, in particular the Murcia Region, determined his decision to settle here with his family and set up Micasamo Realty. He says:
I've lived in some beautiful places all over the world, but La Manga Club and the Murcia Region are by far my favourite. It's where I've always come back to. I consider it my home.
How do we sum Darren up? He is hugely experienced in real estate and knows southeast Spain like the back of his hand. He has an incredible knowledge of the local areas and developers and knows all the pitfalls of moving abroad.
